Georgia


Georgia was Founded on February 12th ,1773 by the leader James Edward Oglethorpe. He was on his way trying to figure out a good place for the British Settlers and those in Prison. He then got into a lot of trouble for taking those who were not supposed to be free. He gathered up a small group of people and took them with him along the coast of the Savanna river, to find a safe place for all British.

Land and Production

Georgia’s largest industry is agriculture, they grow lots of crops for the world and they are the number one producer of Peaches. There are over 1.6 million peach trees planted all around Georgia. There are 535 different landmarks on the map that make up Georgia. Georgia is also known for being one of the tightest states for everyone in there state pretty much getting along.

Football

Football is the number one sport in all the USA. Georgia’s team is the Atlanta falcons they have 75 players that make up their team. The 2 best players on their team are A.J. Terrell #24 and Kyle Pitt #8 this was chosen by ESPN. They were given some awards for outstanding players. Kyle Pitt played for the University of Florida and then was taken in by Georgia.

Govener and Capital

The governor of Georgia is Brian Kemp he has been in office since 2019 and is the 83rd governor of Georgia. He was born on November 2nd, 1963, in Athens Georgia. He has always had a strong love for his state and decided to never leave. He now lives in Atlanta which is the capital of Georgia with a population of 496,000 people. Atlanta is one of the most beautiful places too see in all of Georgia.
